Job Description:
Our client are a leading environmental consultancy who are now seeking to recruit an Arboriculturalist to join their team in the West Midlands.

Role: To take a leading role in undertaking Arboricultural surveys to BS 5837, and to use these to produce Impact Assessments, Method Statements and to design Planting Plans. The role will require excellent client liaison, and applicants should provide evidence of having developed long term productive relationships with a number of clients and be confident of approaching new potential clients and in advising on tree and wildlife legislation.

Role requirements:
-Appropriate Arboricultural qualification
-Extensive Visual Tree Inspection experience
-Professional membership of the Arboricultural Association. Level 3 Arboriculturalist or above.
-Full understanding of the latest British Standards and best practice in Arboricultural methods
-Experienced in a wide range of arboricultural work, to industry standard (BS 5837:2012 Trees in relation to design, demolition and construction
-Arboriculture reporting and assessment experience - Capable of producing the following:
-Tree Schedules and Constraints Plans;
-Arboricultural Impact Assessments;
-Tree protection schemes/Arboricultural Method Statements; and
-Planting schemes.
- Experience of using AutoCAD, GIS or similar software
-Wide ranging project experience within the field of arboriculture and an interest in, and some knowledge of, protected habitat and species
-An interest in undertaking bat surveys
-Must be prepared to work across the UK and must hold a Full & Clean driving licence

Applicants must have demonstrable abilities in delivering their own projects on time and to budget, and of maintaining and improving the quality of work. Also essential to the role are excellent report writing skills and ability to prepare complex documents with excellent attention to detail
