Our client is an Environmental Consultancy that offers a full end to end Service: From initial investigations and assessments to planning, design and engineering support. Due to their continued growth and success they are now looking to recruit a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join the team in West Yorkshire.
The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of geotechnical projects from large multi-disciplinary land development through to single discipline due diligence as part of planning and site acquisition through to construction and emergency stabilisation works.
Key responsibilities / Duties will include:
To undertake Phase 1 geotechnical desk studies and due diligence studies
To undertake ground investigations procurement, supervision and reporting
Field sampling and monitoring
Data assessment, analysis and reporting
Be involved with earthworks and construction projects in a supervisory and monitoring role
Liaise with in-house and external clients on a range of projects
Capabilities and Qualifications:
The candidate will require:
The successful individual will have a degree in either Geotechnics, Geology, Civil Engineering with modules in Soil Mechanics or Environmental Science with Geology and Maths modules.
A strong understanding of geotechnical principles including earthworks and foundation design
Be computer literate in MS Office suite including Work and Excel as well as settlement analysis software and slope stability analysis software
Hold a full driving licence.
