Job Description:
Our client is looking for a Chemistry/Environmental Science/Engineering Graduate to fill their Graduate Asbestos Analyst position and work as part of their expanding site team. The role will include airborne fibre monitoring and analysis in a range of industrial, commercial and residential properties.

The successful candidate will be trained to:
- Carry out 4 stage clearances and other air test backgrounds, leaks, personals and reassurances, in locations throughout the UK and occasionally overseas.
- Understand the principles of the HSG 248 Analyst Guide.

The duties will include:
- Liaising and building a rapport with contractors.
- Ensuring that files / general paper work is filled in correctly and to a high quality - following AEC UKAS procedures.
- Developing a professional approach to site works - developed through training at AEC.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general - Maintaining regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health & safety procedures.
- Pursuing personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role.
- Working well under pressure and be flexible.
- Sending and receiving E-mail in Microsoft Outlook - to be trained internally.

The successful candidate must have:
- The ability to deal with contractors and members of the public politely and courteously.
- Excellent time management skills.
- The flexibility and able to work weekends and overtime on a rota basis.
- A full UK driving license.
- A valid passport.
- The ability to stay away from home.
- Must be physically fit and able to load/unload and carry equipment as necessary.
